How to Compress an Image to 20KB Without Making It Blurry
A 20KB limit is extremely small for a modern phone photo. The best result comes from reducing unnecessary pixel dimensions first and then adjusting JPEG quality, rather than forcing a full-resolution image into a tiny file.

1. Check the required range
Some forms specify a maximum, while others specify a range such as 10–20KB. A file below the stated minimum may also be rejected. Always use the latest requirement shown on the application page or notification.
2. Crop empty space first
Remove unnecessary background around a face or signature. Fewer pixels allow the important subject to retain more detail at the same file size.
3. Use JPG for small uploads
JPG normally produces a smaller file than PNG for photographs. PNG is better for transparency and graphics, but it can be inefficient for a tiny photo limit.
